They are making a film about Max Payne in Hollywood and Mr. Marky Mark ( Mark Wahlberg ) is playing him. But does anybody know if there´s going to be any POTF songs in the film? They could be HUGE in USA :D !!

Yeah, did they do anything better than Die Hard 4.0 or The Simpsons?

Maybe, you're talking about "Payne and Redemption"? The film we are talking about is the another one actually. And I doubt that the film with Mark Wahlberg can be a low budget production.

It doesn't? Where did you read that it's going to be an 'independent low budget production only' then?

I hope Late Goodbye makes it's way into the movie, John Moore's movies suck, so it could be the only redeemable thing about it.

The game is violent. Fox toned down both Live Free or Die Hard AND the Hitman movie, so I wouldn't expect big bloody fights like in the game.

And I don't think that Late Goodbye is going to make it's way into the movie. After all, the movie is about the first game, and not about the second. But would be pretty cool, nonetheless. :)

I just hope they don't screw this one up. :(

Yeah, I saw this piece of news recently. It's good they're really doing the movie! The only thing we can do is just keep our fingers crossed it will be good... although, I gotta admit that I doubt it. Just think about it, Hollywood + Mark Wahlberg usually means shooting, explosions, nice stunts plus special effects and all that stuff needed for an action movie, but I think it will lose its depth and its "noir" feel, unfortunately.

If that's the case, at least they'll get half of the story right .

Ooo. Looking good to me! But then again, I'm no Max Payne -fan (never played it) so I wouldn't know how to be critical about it all.. :)

That girl is supposed to be Mona Sax? I wonder if the film is going to be about MP1 or is it going to be a mash-up of both Max Payne games. Wahlberg doesn't look so cool as Max... and there's rain instead of "blizzard of the century". I still hope it will be a decent movie :)

"The things that I want', by Max Payne: A smoke. A whiskey. For the sun to shine. I want to sleep, to forget. To change the past. My wife and baby girl back. Unlimited ammo and a license to kill. But right then, more than anything, I wanted her (Mona but in this case, it's Mila)" :D

I don't know, the more infos i get about the movie, the less i'm happy with it. :(
I can't imagine Mila Kunis as Mona, looks pretty young to me for that role.
I also heard the rating is aimed at PG13 which i think will be an atmosphere loss. (Concerning that the games have been M rated)

I guess i have to wait for the first trailers to form a better opinion :?

I'll wait to judge but.... THAT IS NOT MONA! She cant be, Mona always seemed the hot mom not the sexy slut.... wow that came out mean... o well, I am very opinionated when my favorite character in a game are gonna be ruined on the big screen... But I'll give her a fair chance, she may pull it off great, without a hitch but then again... I'll never see Mona in her eyes
