What do you think? Which game that you played has the best music? :?:

in my opinion Medal of Honor: Allied Assault - Mafia and Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

Not only it's one of the greatest RPGs, the soundtrack is just a masterpiece... Consisting mainly of violins, yes, it's even better than the Max Payne soundtrack by far...

If I was an uploader, I'd share it with you... :/

Well, since I'm a FF-fangirl, my favorite is Final Fantasy IX :P

That being said, it's really hard for me to choose a favorite. Okami has a fabulous soundtrack, fits the whole game perfectly. The very first Crash Bandicoot also has a superb soundtrack, very memorable tunes. The first God of War is great as well, and FFXII has a very enjoyable soundtrack.

But then again Final Fantasy XIII sounds great already, and Brütal Legend can only have a soundtrack that rocks

So take your pick out of those :D

Yes! FF9 was the best FF ever.

But music-wise, I'd have to say either Kingdom Hearts of FF10.

lol I can't really stand FFX, thus don't like it's music either. KH isn't too bad though.

I didn't really like the characters of FF10 (except Rikku), or the storyline much. But the cgi's is what made me love it. The graphics were so pretty, and even though I hated Tidus, I still cried at the ending, hehe. I've put more than 100 hours trying to master the sphere grid in FF10.
Suteki da Ne and To Zanarkand are amazing and so beautiful.

And Rikku was my least favorite character of the bunch :D Well, that's how life sometimes goes.

It's not a bad game, no FF is, just wasn't as good as I was hoping for. Same goes for the music. Sure there's more filling and richness in the new soundtracks, but IX is still the best for me, because of the emotional paggage that comes with it. High hopes for XIII though, maybe this time it'll work for me as well.

Mass Effect would have good music if it wasn't so repetetive

Hehe. Everyone has their own opinion - if we didn't, life would be boring!
But, I agree, FF9 had awesome music. I love Melodies of Life. It's so nostalgic. I loved 9 - the storyline was amazing too.

Yes, I'm skeptical of 13 atm, but we shall see. xD

I'm surprised no one has mention the Silent Hill soundtracks yet. They were so good, especially 2 and 3, that they decided to use them in the movie!

My vote is and always will be for the soundtrack to Beyond Good & Evil. Gives me chills. The music for Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is also pretty memorable. I like game music that bring back vivid memories of playing the game. :) and of course FF music is indeed fantastic.

Okami was the first game whose soundtrack stole my heart.

Then it was Persona 4, followed by Persona 3.

And I like Silent Hill's music although I've never played it.

The Diablo soundtrack was composed by Matt Uelmen, and it's just awesome.
As the poets would say: to appreciate music, one has but to listen.

Video game musics are the best! I have so many games which have great music. Tomb Raider, Tekken, Kingdom Hearts, Rayman, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot games. They all have good music :D And many more games have, too.

Guild Wars and Dragon Age... Jeremy Soule and Inon Zur are deadset legends!

Final Fantasy VII and Baldur's Gate were pretty damn good for their time too...

Hm... since I am a Blizzard fan, I'll go with Diablo I - Tristam Theme (looking forward for new music in Diablo III :P ) and StarCarft 2 - The Main Theme :)

But there are many more games with wonderful music, such as Mass Effect 2 and, of course, Max Payne II and Alan Wake 8)
