In deed. Their first album I must have listened to like a thousand times. The second one didn't feel as if it was equally good though ("the open door" or something like that). But yeah, I love the lyrics and especially the vocals :) And they also have this way of mixing the fragile and beautiful with some really heavy music. I like that, contradictions and stuff. :P

Gee, must have been cool to actually meet them 8)

They're like my first in music too. :) I listen to them since I heard "Bring me to Life" on the radio and bought their album "Fallen". Went to their concert last summer, but wasn't really impressed, Amy's voice it not really fit for concerts. Hope you liked meeting with them, I sure would like to if I had the chance. :)

I got "Fallen" too :P And the lyrics are pretty darn awesome.
I'm thinking about possibly tattoing "Imaginary" in some pretty letters somewhere, named after the song, you know which

hey fellas...1st of all clear all the doubts.

Evanescence's 1st studio album is 'Origin'. 2nd is 'Fallen', 3rd is 'Anywhere but Home'(DVD version) & 4th Album is 'Open Door'.
They have also released 3 EP.

Fallen was the best album. Songs like Whisper, Tourniquet, Bring Me To Life, Everybody's Fool, Going Under....

Almost all songs are superb..

:)

The Open Door is considered the 2nd studio album, cause Anywhere but home is a live concert plus the beautiful Missing, that I love so much...Origin( I think is one of the best evanescence album) is considered like a demo album, but isn't sold in stores and on Ebay it reaches price off limits and most of the time are only copies... and the 2 EPs, Evanescence EP and Sound Asleep EP, are out of store cause were sold at their early show in very few copy. But I prefere to have my collection with less peaces but signed by all the band ( in particular Amy on every single and album) than buy album signed long ago for other peaple...these are them emotions, not of who have bought the album...

Well there are three EPs

Evanescence EP
Sound Asleep EP
Mystary EP

Mystary EP was released in 2003 as a promo of fallen.

-My Last Breath
-My Immortal (Mystary Version)
-Farther Away
-Everybody's Fool
-Imaginary (Mystary Version)

And I agree that Origin haven't come in stores. And ya DVD version of anywhere but home contains their concert videos. But in CD it has good songs like

-Thoughtless (Korn cover)
-Missing (Studio)
-Breathe No More

dude...Evanescence is the gothic rock band, while potf comes in altern rock. Both band are svery different. You cant compare them.

@+broken+
hey man you are from Italy than you must be listening to gothic metal band called Lacuna Coil. Its italian band.
It's one of my fav. band. Lead singer cristina scabbia is best in the band.

I totally hate Lacuna Coil, and hate with all myself Cristina Scabbia, she is a sad person, that in old enterview said very very bad things about Amy and Evanescence... 'it was all a lie', Amy said in the song 'Lies 'remix.... and plus, I don't like her voice, neither the masculine vvoice, or their sound....a so called gothi band which made a cover of Depeche Mode is not very serius...but, anyway...this is the topic about y loved Evanescence, and I don't wanna talk about LC anymore here  :P

Yea, man, tell him, this betrayer!!!! This guy was one of the greatest Ev fans I've ever known, and what now?!
Anyway I'm thankful for his existing - if wasn't he, I wouldn't hear bout POTF anyway!!! :D

Well, now...
I've been longing for this item.
Evanescence. My first and forever passion, obssesion and love. The most amazing band ( exception POTF o' course ;) ).
I love everything bout them, I listen to them every god damn day in my life since hearng 'em for first time. I can't live without them as well as I can't live without Poets.
And I don't care how many times Amy broke the group. Yeah, I miss the boys, Ben, Rocky, Will, Johny most of all, but I can tell that now they're better than anytime.
It's not easy to get The Open Door, it's not simple goth rock album as Fallen. You got to have been in Amy's situation at least one time in your life: to be used and pissed off and to take teraphy for your wounds, i'm like, to spend time healing them. Then you can a little touch to the beauty of all the songs.

Evanescence FOREVER!!!

I like LC also. Yeah, we won't talk about LC anymore. But there are lots of great bands in world. And there may be chances of conflicts between them. I think we shouldn't have to look up on their personal lives. I simply say this.

anyways...I heard rumors like Open Door is last album of Evanescence. Band is dissolved & its closed. :(
Is it true?

By the way folks...On January 9, 2007 Amy Lee confirmed on EvThreads.com that she had been proposed to by Josh Hartzler, a 29-year-old therapist and long-time friend.

She also noted in an interview that the songs "Good Enough" and "Bring Me To Life" were inspired by him.

Couple was married on May 6, 2007. So she is "now officially Mrs. Amy Hartzler".
:D

I should, darling, if you wasn't all wrong. There's no "good" and "better" bands, there's only music and people who get it wrong all along. For me Ev have always meant more than anything, than POTF have ever meant for you. There are people with strong opinion that there isn't better bands than these they listen to. We can't make them see through our eyes, as well as they can't make us through their. Smile.

The best video for me ( and the best song!!!) is Everybody's Fool !!!

Yeah, exactly!!!
People don't know what Goth's do..what is gothic passion!!!

They just came & say the feeling for the band. But they should have to look up on band's perspective also. At least read the lyrics.

:)

Oooo, Evanescence! One of my favourite bands, I can't remember which song was the first I heard from them, Bring Me to Life or Going Under, but they're both great.
Imaginary (Origin version) is the best song I've heard from them :)

Evanescence is one of the finest Goth rock bands. The songs grow on you. The band produces variations of unimaginable degree. Ranging from dark songs like " Bring me to life" , "Going under" , "Everybody's fool" , "Call me when you are sober" to subtle songs like "My immortal" , the variety is indeed breath taking.

Amy Lee is a prodigy. A singer beyond comparison , a pianist par excellence, she is a pool of talents!
My personal favorite is "Everybody's fool" . Whenever, I listen to this song, my conscience wakes up from the lull. We all pretend at some or the other stage in our lives. A fake sense of happiness, an inflated ego that hides away the real facts of life, and when these notions break, everything that once appeared to be "perfect" falls apart, lying shattered right in front of our eyes.
