Umbrella is nothing compared to Stars are Blind by Paris Hilton... good thing is that it's a bit older, but it's still played on radios...

Bleeding Love  I used to like it at first, but then they were playing it almost non-stop here, totally annoying.

see? that's the thing I never get: There's one or two new songs that are seen as good... and in many cases, they really are. But why does that have to mean that they have to be played so often that you get sick of them? :?

all the songs I can think of right now are from the mid 90ies. Must have stopped listening to the radio then ;)

But when my alarm clock comes on and I do not shut it off right away, Im am often awakened by "You've had a bad day" - I have no clue who the singer is, but it annoys me for sure.

Sorry...

My moste hated songs from the mid 90ies:
Crash Test Dummies - mhmm, mhmm, mhmm
Michael Jackson - Earth Song (at least I think it was the earth song)

I worked at a clothing warehouse during summer break then and the radio was on all day. Most songs that were on heavy rotation then got on my nerves, but I believe those two were the worst.

Oh and all those summer hit thingies: Dragostea Din Tei, Macarena, Lánzame Los Trastos, Baby (Las Ketchup)... makes me want to run away screaming

For some reason I never got tired of the Mmm Mmm Mmm song. :P

I love Nickelback, but the one song that's been played to death is Photograph. That and I Wanna Be a Rockstar. I can't stand them anymore!!!

I never got tired of Runaway Train and What's up - they were played to death at about the same time.

Also played to death Breakfast at Tiffany's (Deep Blue Something) and Lemmontree (Fool's Garden)

The worst of worst; Aqua - Barbie Girl. Always makes me wanna throw myself off the nearest balcony.
Another one is this finnish band called Movetron, their stuff just drives me to insanity (and the worst part is, this band broke up ages ago and now they made a comeback... arrrgh!)

Mwhahaha, I remember when I was younger and there was like open war on our school between the Spice Girls fans and the Aqua fans (I was an Aqua fan... which one is worst?)

I'm so sick of the regular radio stations round here, cause their idea of new and fresh music is to embrace all the Eurovision songs like once a year and play them until next Eurovision. If there was a single "schlager" song that didn't totally suck, it'd be thoroughly dissected by this treatment.

And another thing that bothers me are the radio slogans, going something like this:

"Stay tuned for your favourite song!" - How the hell do they know my favourite song and what are the odds it'll be played on their station soon?

"Best music right now!" - Says who?

"We take the best songs from the past and mix them with today's" - Meaning they're still playing a selected few old songs that's been on the radio since they were new, and mixing them with a selected few songs from each year's Eurovision.

"This isn't your regular radio - this is Mix Megapol" - fancy yourselves up all you want, but you'll still be the commercial crap station playing the exact same music as all the other stations - mixed with commercial breaks.

"Soon, 11 songs in a row! 45 minutes of music only!" - true, no commercial breaks during this marathon, but still a ton of annoying host talk in between. Is that music?? I had no idea.

My favourite station has the best slogan, no gimmicks or tricks.

"We play whatever music we feel like."

That's at least honest :D

Duffy - Mercy, in the charts right now;

If you break that song down, it's nothing more than a one sentenced lyric with a classic 12 bar blues rythm. Don't get me wrong, I like it but it's so soo overated.

Bec that was just brilliant lol

Umbrella gets on my nerves.. As well as Whip It by Devo lol

And then there is this song that is played on XM Satellite Radio's BPM (my hubbie a huge trance/dance fan) called Me.. And it's all about how she loves everyone but loves herself more or something. I don't remember the artist, but good god they play that song a lot and it annoys the hell out of me.

And I am getting tired of Avenged Sevenfold. Just... Bluck. They were good, but now they're being overplayed.

And I have to agree about Nickelback. I like them but I am now tired of Photograph. They've over played it.

They did that with Godsmack. Now I LOVE Godsmack, but when they released the song Straight Out of Line.. The radio overplayed it that I can't even listen to it on the cd, I skip right over it.

Well talking about radio, you know what really annoys the crap out of me; (At least some radio hosts do this) they´ll go " And next song is xxxxxxx" (and if this is a good song you´ll go "awwright..!") then they´ll continue " But before that we´ll listen to xxxxxx" and on the same sentence they´ll go "and here is xxxxxx". So you´ll have to listen to 2-3 other songs before that "next" song...

I agree about 50 cent. all his songs sound the same. when it comes to slim shady I still listen to him. not that last album though, it had too any dumb songs so I understand were you are coming from. if im listening to rap or hip hop anymore its either Talib Kweli or Jay Z maybe some kanye too.

but my most overrated band is undoubtedly Nirvana.
