Wow, I just looked back towards the beginning of this thread to where I first posted. Have I really picked up that many Finnish bands in about 2 years? :shock:

To explain, the current list reads something as follows....

Agonizer, Apocalyptica, Battlelore, Charon, Deathlike Silence, Entwine, End of You, Feiled, Flylow, Flinch, For My Pain, FragileHollow, Hanoi Rocks, HIM, Iconcrash, Lordi, L-60, Lovex, Machine Men, Naked, Negative, Nightwish, Poets of the Fall, Private Line, Poisonblack, Reflexion, Soulrelic, Snakegod, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, The 69 Eyes, The Rasmus, To/Die/For, Thee Apple Thieves, Turisas, Uniklubi

That covers all the CDs I can see from here, so there may be someone missing from that list :o

There's also Anima, Albert Roxtone, The RMS, Parasite City, Mechanical Monsters, Awe, Stranger Aeon and Agent Kooper that I can think of offhand where I've either downloaded from Mikseri or haven't been able to get hold of anything yet and want to.

Any bets on 50 bands on the list by Christmas? The Finnish economy must be booming! :lol:

Eternal Tears of Sorrow
- A melodic death metal band. The band made a comeback and new great album. This is the best metal band I know.

Ensiferum
- Viking metal band. Growling vocals, fast drums, lyrical themes.. what could be better :lol:

Apocalyptica
- Three classically trained cello virtuosos playing metal... I love it

Yö
- My favorite finnish rock band ( in my opinion even better than POTF :roll: . But POTF is a great one too)

Don Johnson Big Band. The live performances are where they really shine. I saw them for the 3rd time this year, last friday in Nosturi, and it was magical 2 hours! One of the best live bands I've seen - and I've seen quite a few.

Probably thesse bands were not mentioned in this topic:

Skepticism, Shape Of Despair - both of them are good funeral doom bands with amazing atmosphere.

Two Withces - First, the best and probably only finnish classical Goth Rock band.

has anyone mentioned Deep Insight here? they re pretty amazing as well! hm... what else. Crumbland (just discovered them), Negative, Killer (they re not playin together anymore though), Kwan, Hay & Stone - the band of the bass player from The Rasmus, Apocalyptica, Sonata Artica, Land of Tales - you should check them out :D
