I'm not a very good writer and that's why I love to read other peoples poems and lyrics. Some people can describe the feelings I'm going through better than I can. I find it very comforting to be able to express my feelings in a beautiful way although it was written by someone else.

Is there a poem or lyric that describes your feelings right now? Share it with us.

Let's exclude our own poems and PotF lyrics cause we have another threads for those.

Our life is prewritten, every breath is planned.
We're just the actors. Exchangeable till the end.
There's nothing we can change, you say.
    But destiny means nothing.
    Abandon can be so addictively.
We must be strong. Lean against the wind.
    Struggle through, to the place
    where everything seems moving.
Where our love can stand the test of time.
When it makes sense to offer you the last swallow of wine.

I seem to be "Shakespeare's Worst Nightmare" so I'll start with one of his productions :)

Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

- William Shakespeare's Macbeth -

I already did that joke.

Any more would be repeating. And we don't want repeating, because repeating is annoying.

Repeating is annoying.

That's repetitive and redundant. And repetitive and redundant.

I guess the song Redefine Me by Mercenary pretty much sums up how I've felt the past year and a half..

A small out take:
It makes me want to scream
To fall out of this dream
It makes me want to find the things
I thought you wanted
It makes you want to try
To leave it all behind
The time that still remains I’ll use
To redefine me
Find me…

Now
All that’s left with me
This feeling
Am I all alone?
Stretching
I cannot see you clearly
Am I losing you?

Though I can't really put my feelings into mere words, I always end up describing a made up situation rather than my own, and I try not to give a damn anyway.. Too much thinking = emo grey weather mood.

i'm tired of being what you want me to be
feeling so faithless
lost under the surface
i don't know what you're expecting of me
put under the pressure
of walking in your shoes
every step that i take is another mistake to you

Ever feel like a fish in a river?
You'd rather be where the water don't go
Just a little bitty fish in a river
You'll never be a fish
In a main course dish
And you'd rather be where the water don't go...don't go.

Today I read the Raven by Edgar Allan Poe, once again. It's just amazing.
It's quite long so I'm not gonna put it all in here. Enjoy!

The Raven

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Thus some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door —
Only this, and nothing more."

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; — vainly I had tried to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow — sorrow for the lost Lenore —
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore —
Nameless here for evermore.

And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me — filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
"'Tis some visiter entreating entrance at my chamber door —
Some late visiter entreating entrance at my chamber door; —
This it is, and nothing more."

Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
"Sir," said I, "or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you " — here I opened wide the door; —
Darkness there and nothing more.

guess you all know it...

The Beautiful Ones

Flies with a broken wing, she's ever so graceful, so like an angel,
but I see, tears flow quietly.

The struggle she's seen this spring, when nothing comes dancing,
paying a handsome fee, and still she smiles at me.

And I can't take it, no I can't help but wonder...

Why do we sacrifice the beautiful ones?
How do you break a heart of gold?
Why do we sacrifice our beautiful souls?
Heroes of tales unsung, untold.

Sweet as an angel sings, she gives though she has none left but the last one, free, unhesitatingly.

And I am humbled, I'm a broken mirror, and I can't help but wonder...

Why do we sacrifice the beautiful ones?
How do you break a heart of gold?
Why do we sacrifice our beautiful souls?
Heroes of tales unsung, untold.

Why do we sacrifice the beautiful ones?
Why when they walk with love alone?
Why do we sacrifice our beautiful souls?
Just trying to find their way home[/b]

At this precise moment, the nearest thing I can think of comes from "Hanging on the Telephone" by Blondie

It's good to hear your voice, you know it's been so long
If I don't get your call then everything goes wrong
I want to tell you something you've known all along
Don't leave me hanging on the telephone

I'm actually waiting for an e-mail rather than a phone call and I need it to arrive in the next couple of hours, or else
