uugh... kinda hard decision when you're from germany...

we have kind of good rock bands here, but since most of my favourite bands are from finland (my greatest fave of them all for eternity: waltari) this is really hard to decide... let's postulate we talk about bands that perform their music in their native tongue. most possibly die ärzte, i would say. especially their early material.

Okay then let us widen the scope maybe not in English, okay in the Native Tongue...

Maybe you all can promote them to others here...Music is an international language it doesn't have to be in English to understand them...sometimes the melody itself can bind us... :)

absolutely! but i decided to make a kind of division between languages used in the music because i thought this might ease my decision... i feel ashamed now...

Check out the Polish rock band Myslovitz. They're pretty good! You can watch the video to their song Sound of Solitude (the english version of Długość dźwięku samotności. See more at YouTube. (I suggest Sprzedawcy marzeń (Dreamsellers) !)

If we are speaking about best band in native tongue I have to say Zen Café. In English it's The Crash. :)

Hey, I know them!!! "Die Welt könnte so schön sein - ohne dich!"

Well, my favourite Danish rock band must be Kashmir (singin' English!)

If I should mention a native tounge band, I really don't know... Maybe Johnny de Luxe, if you can call that rock...

LOL! :D Yes, maybe when you count their ages together... But honestly, that is the most f*cked up sh*t I know =)

Hmm, Finland... Crumbland would be my pick for the English singing band (or Deep Insight) For a band that sings in Finnish, Egotrippi. Their earlier production foremost.
