I've been to:

05/05 Liberation Festival with: Drive Like Maria, Ed Kowalzyck of Live and a lot more. Those two were the highlights though :)
18/05 Fiction Plane in some cafetaria. The band was only (seriously!) 0,5-1 meter away from me, because the only thing that was separating us was a table, so we could just sit back, relax, drink cola and listen to music. That was so awesome, it is not the smallest band around, and the new album sounded great, so actually I am still enthousiastic about it :D

Still coming:

04/06: Beatsteaks :D
02/09: Disco Ensemble
Some time in the fall probably Fiction Plane again.
In the summer probably some free festivals with smaller bands.
And hoping for Johnossi and of course Poets of the Fall! Then this gig year will be really far beyond awesome!

I have no idea what you are talking about :P
Last year I attended 30 concerts by the way (half of those outside of Germany), so this is still pretty much normal for me

I went to see Juki Lewis in Jack the Rooster, Tampere yesterday. I know Juki via his other band, so I knew he would be great. And he was, really. He sang some Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rolling Stones, Twisted Sisters, Mick Jagger... and of course his own songs, too. 8)

Next gig might be at 2nd July, wanna go to see some finnish bands like Yö, Eppu Normaali and Happoradio.

15th July 2010: incredible concert in Pistoia: Labyrinth, Hammerfall, GammaRay, Queensrÿche *_*
It was epic!

I love to be at concerts where people don't start moshing like mad but just enjoy music, and you can be in the second row (Hammerfall = amazing, i was in ecstasy *_*) without risking your life (during GammaRay there was some moshing actually, but by then we weren't in the front rows anymore).
and Queensrÿche were magic.. I wish I could've seen them back in early 90's too, but by then I didn't even know who they were, and I would've been just a kid anyway^^

lol, a funny thing was that just beside us in the audience there were some of the guys from Rhapsody of Fire, it was weird :D

Asaf Avidan & the Mojos
Portugal. The Man
Frittenbude

Didn't really know any of the bands except for Frittenbude for which i actually went to the festival, but Asaf Avidan & the Mojos really surprised me, what a great live show! All in all a very good gig day, first time since May that i went to a concert again, felt great!

Well, I am in my 30ies, I have a good job and I can afford traveling to Finland frequently. Not that I am rich, but I do prioritize seeing concerts of the bands I love over most other things. Some people build houses, drive cars, have kids or go shopping. I go to concerts. :)

I've never been to a POTF gig, but hopefully I get a chance to hear them play in New York. It'll be AMAZING if they played in my backyard!

What? I didn't even include the ten or so gigs that were planned but didn't happen for one reason or another (illness x 3,volcano, illness, out of bock error on my side, illness, not enough tickest sold, event cancelled, a ticket does not mean there is a gig x2, unknown reason ) :|

I'm STILL waiting for Soilwork and Poets of the Fall to come.
Nothing else interests me.

In the meantime, I'm busy with my own petty underground gigs... >_>

Not really "inside information".
Olli mentioned it after the gig (I think Captain did too) and Jaska posted a link on his FB page (I was told). Offiicial enough for me.

And yeah, I know I said I would never ever again book a flight before something gets officially posted as a tourdate on this site *whistles innocently* - Of course don't blame me if it does not happen. I'm taking the risk too.

My plans for 2011

Done:
-16. January: Zeraphine, Nürnberg

Planned:

- 06. May: Solar Fake, Hannover
- 20. May: Martin and James, Berlin
- 02. October: Autumn Ball Festival Hannover (with Zeraphine, Letzte Instanz, Staubkind)

And maybe in June Zita Rock Festival in Berlin (with Apocalyptica, Zeraphine and some other bands I can't remember right now  )

Hopefully more to come :)

It's OpenAir season again! \\o/ One of the best things in summer despite being allowed running around naked without getting arrested... :P

- Rock im Park (June, Germany -done-)
- Rock am Ring (June, Germany -done-)
- Openair Frauenfeld 2011 (July, Switzerland)
- Vaasa Rockfestival 2011 (July, Finland)
- Highfield Festival 2011 (August, Germany)

Let's see what else the summer is going to bring in terms of good music and colourful nail polish (V: ^^).

Wait, what? You're going to Finland for a festival and it's not Saaristo Open or Saimaa Open Air? tsk tsk tsk ;)
