Actually it can't be clearer.

Since I've not seen a topic about it, then this is your place to talk about your pets.
It can be a cat, dog, fish, mice etc.
More than that, if you tend in a problem, perhaps one of the many people here in the forum can help you out with.

As for me, I don't have a pet :(
I used to have fish, but that was long ago. However I did took care of our cat and its infants at the base :)

I haven't had pets for the past five years or so but I used to breed siamese cats. Back then pretty much everything revolved around the cats :D Either we were making plans, expecting kitties, nursing kitties or showing cats in and out of Finland.

Right now I'm at a friend's house looking after her two lovely siamese. I had already forgotten many things. Like the amount of cat hair on my clothes  Or how even the tiniest sound in the kitchen rushes over very noisy and demanding furballs

I go horse riding once a week and it's the best moment of my week. No matter what's going on in my life, when I'm riding I completely forget about everything else. And it's not just about riding, grooming before and after the lesson, is half of the fun. Especially if you're riding a horse that enjoys grooming and little scratching :)

I'm a cat person. I would not mind living with a dog or other pets, but I love cats. Don't have one though, I travel way too much for that.

I've got 4 cats, Gizmo, Bumble, Tater and Vira :) I love them all and can't imagine not having them underfoot, and on the furniture, and in the sinks, and in the laundry basket... and, well you get the picture... :D

I totally love pets. When I was 9 years old I got 2 rabbits. They passed away last December/January so they almost became 10 years old. :>

In 2009 I saved a dog from the animal shelter. (You should never send your children to do their practical work in an animal shelter 8) ) I cannot imagine living without him anymore. He totally belongs to my daily routine like brushing teeth.

And then I love horse-riding. It's very relaxing and a good balance to your daily work.
And as SydneyDoll already mentioned, it's not only about riding, it's also about having contact with the horse. :)

And I'd love to have a cat. A very cuddly one so I could sit on the sofa and cuddle it. :)

I've always lived in a house with animals, like everyone in my family. I (my brother/roommate etc.) had dogs, canaries, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats... Rats are awesome, intelligent like dogs, funny and cute. If we forgot to close the cage for the night my rat sneaked to sleep next to me on my pillow ♥ At the moment I have a doggy. But generally I'm a cat person :) I always wanted a cat, and never could cause we had dogs/rats. I know those pets can live together peacefully but we didn't want to take the risk anyway. One day I will have a cat (three! :P )

I love animals in general, but I'd say I'm a cat person, because I grew up with them. Don't have any atm, but when I did we gave them some pretty unusual names such as: Scuzzball, Splat and Thud, Mashed Potatoes, Moo, Delirium, Fatso, Runty and In-Between, and Little Death, aka Mouse. I think the most unusual name we ever gave to a cat was Roop, because it represented an argument my brother and I had over a sound effect in a computer game.

I am a cat person. Since I was a child I always had a cat. My first cat was grey-black striped with red spots. Its name was 'Easy'. Every morning it woke me up and followed me to the school bus. After school it was waiting for me at the bus stop and escorted me home.

My last cat was a Angora male cat named Teddy. Its belly and feet were white, its back and tail silver-gray, its eyes like amber and the nose black. He died in the age of 18 in 2006. For a long time he slept next to me on my pillow with his paw on my cheek.

But now we don't have any pets. Maybe some day a cat again. :)

I love animals but I am a Dog person...:D my sister is crazy about cats though. lol!

A few years ago we rescued a stray cat when it was raining really bad outside and she started crying to get out of the house... so we were all sad that she wanted to leave.

And in the next hour or two we saw her coming back with a kitten in her mouth. She dropped it off at our house and left again to get the rest of her babies.
That was the most adorable thing I ever witnessed with my own two eyes!

 Unfortunately we couldn't keep them but thankfully they were all adopted into good homes.

At this moment I only have a Dog (Maltese) and one Syrian Hamster. ^__^ I'm hoping to own a Guinea Pig one day also. :)

I actually have a lot of animals where I live, but I'm more of a dog person.

I have two dogs, a boy and a girl,
two puppies, both girls,
three cats, two boys one girl,
three kittens, all boys,
and two rabbits. *Inhales* Don't ask me if it's a boy or a girl because honestly I don't know. :D I kind of feel like Veruca Salt from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory right now...

I like both dogs and cats, but I'm more a rodent person. Right now I have 5 gerbils: 3 boys (Onni, Waldo & Eppu) and 2 girls (Saroyan & Liise). I've always had gerbils, and one hamster a few years back.

I had fishes when I was 6 or 7...
I found at least one dead fish when I went back to home after school...
They all died :|

But I'm a cat person... If you ask me, cats and some humans are very similliar..
Some people wants to be worshipped. Some people wants to be loved all the time. Some people wants attention. Cats wants all of these things...

The weird thing is, even the cats and humans are similliar, I love cats more than humans.

(Potftruth, cool picture by the way. As you can see in my signature, I love that game  )

As far I can remember ever since I was little I've been always surrounded by pets. I used to have dogs, cats, birds, fishes and even turtles. I always said that my home looked like a zoo. I love animals in general, but I've have to say that I'm more a dog person because I developed an allergy to cats. Now I only have a beautiful dog (Fox Terrier) named Mylo. :)

Mylo is a nice name. :)

Come to think about it, why can't directors and scriptwriters name a dog with these kind of names and not the most-used-boring-sad names like: Lucky, Rexie, Lussi, Bob...

hi, I’ve had dogs in my life for nearly 30 years, i really love them and now that I’m starting to face my own mortality, I beginning to feel that I no longer want them in my life, but what would become of their lives after I’m gone.
I think my final years will be lonely indeed. :(

Like a lot of folks here, I have had many animals of all kinds, hamsters, turtles, fish, cats, dogs, horses and even snakes BUT

Hands down dogs! I can't live without having a dog, never had, never will!

I didn't see horses on the list :D but then I know not everyone can have one easily, neither can I right now, but they are like big dogs  and I miss riding so much I am thinking of taking some more jumping lessons.

But I have my little Barney waiting faithfully at home and I can't wait to see his little dog face when I get there Wed night! :) <3

It's difficult to me to vote, because I love all kinds of animals/pets, so I'd choose "All", but then I'm a cat person so I'd choose "Cats"... :?

At this moment I have two lovely cats :)
There was time when I used to have eight cats, because six kittens were born. That was crazy, but it was also such a beautiful time in my life ♥
And even earlier I had two dogs (one after another) and a cat.

Does pure evil exist?

I don't understand these people. over the past two weeks, in a gap of 2 days, two teenagers in my country got arrested because of animal abuse.
The shocking thing is that they where publishing their deeds on Facebook!

The first person got pictured when he was holding a cat from its tale, saying "good weekend to all of you dumbasses" (translating it) and of course, he smiled.
When the police arrested him, the first thing he stated was that he was proud and satisfied by becoming a celebrity in less than 24 hours.
About the cat, he stated he was playing with it. How is holding a cat from its tale considered as a game???

The second teenager pictured himself holding a rabbit in the air from its ears, with the same message.
He just copied the first guy in order to get attention.

I do understand people who don't like animals, but there is dislike something, and wanting to harm it and kill it. If I don't like someone, I'm not going to kick him and yell at him to get lost. I'm sure that most of people would do the same as I.
I guess a person need these one or two characters to hurt animals: Boredom, vandalism, hatred and superiority.

@potftruth I agree with what you said. Even though I am a dog person (maybe because I am allergic to cats, oh well), I am definitely an animal lover and I do everything I can do to help at shelter's around my city. And I shall never understand those who torture animals. I understand why people torture other people but animals didn't wrong you. :(

I grew up with a dog since the day I was born, my parents already had her, and she was a few months older than me. Since I'm their only kid, Lucky was like a sister to me. I lived with her for 14 years, and it's been 3 years since she died, so for now, I'm not quite sure I want to adopt a new dog. Instead, I got a dwarf hamster a few months ago. :)

This is my baby, Shay. :D

Dam Shay is cute! :D

It reminds me of one time my brother and father caught a mouse in our house. They thought about to kill it but I yelled at them not to.
We gave it some vegetables and in the end we released it to the wild.

I also took care of the hamsters and rabbits at my school ^_^

I don't have any pets at the moment, but I love animals! I'm a cat person, but I like other animals too. My family used to have a lot of animals, we had cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep, horses...a lot of animals! But then we had to move and our new house is too small for pets. Luckily I'm moving to my own apartment after one year (if everything goes as I'm planning) and I hope then I can buy a cat.

It sounds like you lived at a country-farm house at your youth.

It was lovely. Even though it took a lot of time to take care of all the animals everyday and I didn't have much time for my friends. Or homework *cough cough* However, I loved it there, it's a pity we moved away.

Personally, I like just about all animals, but cats hold my number one spot. Maybe it's because they're generally low maintenance, or maybe it's just because they're so cute and cuddly. And no, I'm not ashamed I made that last comment, it is cats we're talking about......
