That was surely a weird dream o_O

A giant hen?

Strange dreams remind me of a very freaked scene in David Lynch's Mulholland Drive.

I had a weird dream this night... I don't remember much of it, only that I was having some sort of birthday party, a lot of people invited, some people I haven't spoken to for years... And the weather was strange... changed from sunshine to showers...

Haha! That sounds like fun ;) except maybe the snoring part :D

Last night I dreamt my Mum handed me a guitar and said, "I've fixed this, it's your old guitar, remember?" Thing is I've never owned a guitar, even less been able to play. Then my best friend said this morning his guitar broke yesterday... haha :P

This best friend boy of mine told me that my other _boy_friend_ had a dream about me cutting him in pieces with scissors and then he asked that would I cut him in pieces and I told them maybe, if I had scissors.

This was not a dream. :P

Lately my dreams have been bad in a boring way.

Since I started at work, I have had quite a few dreams about accidentally destroy machines on the factory and stuff like not being able to keep the pace.

Last night I dreamt that I had messed up a list of people coming to a specific party and I was held responsible and stuff...

I hate these kind of dreams since they are not funny in any way, they only make you worried if they are like 'forseeing' future...

Ever have recurring dreams or nightmares? I have. Whenever my life is far too busy, I'll dream about seeing lots of airplanes in the sky, circling each other. Or, when I think there might be big trouble in the near future, I'll dream about rushing towards tornadoes that die out right as I get there. Obviously, the trouble is usually nothing...

Yes, I do. I've had the worst kind of nightmares regularly for a couple of years back. It comes and goes in periods. Recently it's come back, I have nightmares almost every night, making it hard for me to sleep well.

Especially, there is a dream where I'm out driving with my sister and we crash and I faint. When I wake up I try to find her, but she's gone, all I can see are blood tracks. I always wake up from this dream all sweaty, I'm very close to my sister. I've had this dream over and over since I was about ten years old and I don't know why it keeps coming back. Someone was talking about dreams that foresee things, and I had that a few times, so I hope it's nothing like that.

Also another kind of dream that keeps coming back is me coming home and finding my boyfriend dead in various ways. I seen him drown, hung, dead from an overdose, with his head stuck in the oven.... The other night I tried to fall asleep so I wanted to think of something happy, and I tried to picture my boyfriend lying next to me. But soon as I did, it was as though I saw him being cut open from the inside, and the bed was full of blood.

Does anyone know any good tricks as to get rid of nightmares like these?

Edit: Once I dreamt I walked into my sisters room and it was full of doors swinging on their hinges. The floor was flooded with water that seemed to flow upwards. Through the doors there were shadows of people drifting in and out... Very scary. Another time I dreamt that I was in a cellar where the walls were literally soaked with blood, the walls themselves seemed to move like a flood.

Sorry to post something this lengthy, it's just nice to get it out. :)

Yeah, really, those are terrible dreams.
And btw, it is possible to get rid of nightmares. Search from the internet about sleep. And there you may find different interpretations to dreams, but good dreams and nightmares.

Last night (that'd mean day to you guys) I had one of the freakiest dreams I ever had, if not the freakiest.

By Now, I have forgotten the beginning of the dream, but I was trying to get in at a cinema, a club or something like that. I was with one of my friends, and he got into an argue with a stranger. The stranger was told by some guard at the door that he was not welcome inside the thing.
My friend entered the place, but I stayed outside and looked at the guy who was told to leave. I smiled at him, sort of laughing (no idea why, I can't remember what the argue was about or anything) and then he just pulled forth a gun and shot me twice in the chest. I fell and had troubles breathing.
The scene then kind of morphed into an alley, and there was no people there, a few, but they walked past me as I lay on the ground and bled. Then someone came and told me to get up, and he/she (don't remember what gender it was, I'm pretty sure it was a girl) took me to a hospital that looked like a school.
I was treated by someone, a nurse I think, but I wasn't calmed down by any drug or anything. I left the hosptial immediately after the treatment and went home.
As I got home (the scene morphed again), i took off my shirt to find a scar on my chest with the shape of a smiley, and this is where I woke up. I have no idea what the hell that dream was all about...

I ALWAYS have this nightmare but it begins in various ways, the ending always being the same the most memorable (and equally strange) of these is:

Me and my sister sat in the car, I was in the front seat she in the back. Mom and Dad were divorced and arguing at Dad's new house (they aren't actually divorced just in the dream). The car lurches backword suddenly and my heart goes into my chest, I know this dream all too well (from this moment on is the recurring part). The car keeps going back, down the once straight road that has become a steep hill. Emily (my sister) screams, horrified. I jump into the front seat and try to get on my seat belt (as if there isn't anything better to do) It wont go on, for several minutes I fiddle around with it until I finally give up. I the try to hit the brake, no keys in the ignition but the car gets slower anyway. Despite my efforts and Emily's continuous screams we go over the edge of the hill (I know this hill quite well) into the ocean.

I get out of the car easily but Emily's seatbelt is stuck, I go back to help her but strangely the back door is locked (yes i went around). Emily wont unlock it, too busy with her seatbelt. I kick the window furiously and it breaks but when I go in Emily is dead (which is strange because she holds her breath longer than I do). I then try to swim to the surface but my breath (to which I seemed to have an unlimited supply beforehand) is running out. The top of the water seems to rise teasingly as I try desperately to surface, I always wake just before I touch the surface.
------------------------------------
The alternate beginnings are when I'm at the post office (on the same hill), visiting mom's new house when they're mysteriously divorced once again (on the same hill), or at my nan's house (on the same hill). I fear the ocean now, whenever I ride my bike near it I feel the same, constant lurching feeling, I truly believe that this dream could come true in a similar form in the future but I sure as hell hope not.

Thanks people for your sympathy and your tips! :)
My dreaming's been bit better than usual later, I'll take whatever I can get.

We've had some rough times recently, although we're past that now. These dreams occurred though when we were you know, newly in love and everything. Probably nothing more than a fear of losing him, I suppose.

personally I'd never wish for an end to my nightmares, I like the creativity of my unconcious mind too much. In fact its that part of me (dreams and nightmares) that give me most of my ideas.

Sue me, I don't want this topic to die.
Okay, I had a doozy the other day. I dreamt that I was in some sort of house that was fairly old. I don't know why I was there, but I had a sense that I was either working there, or at least helping out in some way. I had heard the place was haunted but didn't pay much attention. After all, I'd worked or been to places like that before without any incidents. However, I went into a large room that looked like it was part dining room, part living room, because there was a big table in the middle, but I also saw couches.
Anyway, I was opening up the curtains when I heard a high-pitched "Hmmph!" and the curtains aside of me shut by themselves. I whipped around and a white figure comes stomping through the door. (I mean, literally through the door.) I slumped down on the couch I was standing on as the figure became the pale image of a young girl of about 10-12, who was dressed up to look like Shirley Temple. She was clearly upset that I had disturbed the room, and wanted me gone, hence trying to scare me. Even though I was very scared, as I've never actually seen a ghost before, I found myself saying, "Well, look at how dark and dusty this place is! Don't you want it to look nice?" She looked at me, then looked at the room as if seeing it for the first time.
She faltered for a moment, then begrudgingly gave her consent. I then chided her gently for scaring my brother, and said that we weren't trying to take anything away from her, but wanted to live there and have everything look nice. I got the distinct impression that she knew she had passed, but she didn't want to let go, namely, she didn't want to let go of the house. She frowned but it was clear she was very lonely. She wanted to think it over and asked me to leave, and I did. But before I left, I turned and said, "Are you really Shirley Temple?" in such a tone to let her know that I knew she wasn't. She answered with a sly smile "We don't talk about that." And the door shut by itself.

What made this dream different is that I was actually playing myself, and I was actually scared. Usually in a dream like this with a realistic plot, I am me, but not me. It's like I'm a character in a movie or play.

TheArtist, that's a weird one. I've never actually had scary dreams. There have only been situations when I wake up nervous and have to make sure that what I've seen is not true.
Although... I remember this dream (I had it at the age of 6 or 7, it's the only one I remember from that long ago) in which my dad was in some sort of a shed, he was chopping wood. There was something sad about that scene, I remember turning away and going down a dark street. And then suddenly there is this bear running for me and pinching me! Haha, I always laugh when I remember this. :D
And last night I dreamt that my cousin's girlfriend was lost. She was later found in a library in GREECE reading books about James Bond. xD

I haven't seen any dreams lately (or I just don't remembe them when I wake up)but once I had just a strange dream. In short, there was a young woman (me?)running around a swamp and some man was chasing her. Woman fellt and the man came to sit next to her, and then she took off his eyes whit her own hands. (sorry, my english isn't so good I could explain it better)

This dream was a nicee one, not a nightmare, thats the strange thing. I hope this doesn't meen I'll become a psychopathic or someting  On the next day I found a poem which was like straight continuation to this dream... it's a strangestrange world. But it's one of my favourite dreams ever  buhahaa *grins madly*
