Hey everyone,

Me and my girlfriend were planning to go and see their last concert in Berlin (since it's closest to our home in france  ) but eventually we couldn't. So we're planning to visit Turku this summer holidays and I'm wondering if the city is worth it ? Anyone can help us with that ?

Oh, and Poets' rules !

In my personal opinion, this is probably the most beautiful city in Finland. In summer especially.

Depends on what you are intersted in really. I personally think a week in Turku would be too much for me, even though it is a really nice city. I have been there twice and the first time I managed to see everything I wanted to see in two days. Yet I specifically aimed for getting a first impression, so with more time on my hands I might have just done more.

If you get bored you can always go to Helsinki (2 hours by train) or Tampere (1:40 by train).

There's no beautiful cities in Finland, but I think Turku isn't so bad, so welcome to Finland :)

Well, Turku is said to be the ass of Finland, so... :|

Anyway, there surely are quite some things to see in Turku (especially if you are interested in history) but like redbossfan said, in case you get bored, Helsinki or other towns aren't that far away.

Of course, bicycle tours around the archipelago of Turku are great in case you are fond of bikes and the sea. Also, visit Naantali (less than 20km from Turku).
