There's a website called Adagio that lets you create your own tea blends and see/buy other customers' blends. They also allow people to create groupings for "fandom blends" that are inspired by books, shows, games...bands...

So, I went experimenting a little while ago and finalized a POTF blend:

Poets of the Fall: Stay

It turned out better than I expected. I thought maybe someone else might like to try it or go mix their own. ^_^

...I should also note that I profit from this not at all. Regardless of who buys it, all I see from blend sales are points toward free tea. Last I checked, tea points don't pay bills.

Wow, that's pretty cool. I want to buy it if just for the tin.
Hmm, if I knew how to blend tea, I would see about doing a CiL blend. It would be soothing and relaxing, with just a bit of melancholy. The tin would have a faded top hat and boa.

Blending really isn't that bad. The site has lots of info on teas and what they taste like, and they only let you do a maximum of 3 teas in a blend. They also offer some additional add-ins if you want a little more citrus or a little more floral or whatever. And if you don't want anyone else seeing or buying your tea until you've tasted it and gotten it just right, you can set it to private. I currently have 2 other blends on my private list that I haven't tasted yet: Roses and Desire.

The first time I blended tea, I knew nothing about blending. My roommates were the same way, and they dove right in. It's all about experimentation. Jump in and have fun with it. ^_^

Oh ok! Then perhaps I will give it a try! Thanks!

Another blend ready for public tasting:

Desire

In the first round of taste testing, it smelled like a vanilla cupcake, which wasn't what I was going for at all. As soon as I smelled it, I immediately had Caption Thread flashbacks. XD

You're picking the perfect song titles for your descriptions...I love the description for Desire :)

Thank you. ^_^

I guess I'm kinda weird. When I listen to music, I don't just hear it. I feel it. I see it. It has color and texture. And sometimes that translates to flavor; I have a tendency to taste my words to make sure they're right before writing. So...yeah...the tea thing is kind of an attempt to not just taste what I hear, but to see if others experience the same thing.

And no, I don't have synesthesia. Just an oddly wired brain.

True, but at least it's an option. I wouldn't dare show you guys something if it couldn't be shipped overseas at all. That would just be cruel.

Okay, I'm going on blind faith on this one. It's about (checks watch) two minutes old at the time of this posting, and has been tasted by no one. I am either very brave, or very stupid.

Your "Roses" is private so does that mean I can't get that one?
Could you possibly blend a Cradled in Love tea? :)

Also they have Pokemon teas...:D

Also again, OMG, they have a whole set of Supernatural teas, including Benny

Roses is private because I'm not yet happy with how it tastes. It needs another round of testing before I make it public. :) Also on the private list right now is Someone Special.

Sure, I can do Cradled in Love. And actually, one of my roommate's blends gives me ideas for CiL. Earl grey and blue berry seems like a good way to start.

Incidentally (and this is for everyone), if there was a blend for each of the boys...what flavors might suit each of them? (And please don't say salty...I really don't want to use puh erh in anything...it smells like rotting fish, and yes, it's supposed to. :? )
