If you could be anywhere that you like, where would it be? Let's see where you would choose?!!! :) 8)

Ask me that a year ago and the answer would be: New Zealand, Croatia, Iceland or Ireland (I'd be happy with any of them) but now the answer is pretty predictable: somewhere in southern Finland, preferably Helsinki or Turku :D

:) Would like to visit Scotland, the Highlands. And Australia too because of the native people there, the Aborigines. They are very mystical people and I wanna learn from them.

Home and my grandma's summer cottage here in Finland, and the coast of Arctic Ocean in northern Norway. I wish to visit there again some day. :)

In the South-West of France lying on the beach, hearing the sound of the waves.
Or near a lake in Finland, listening to Poets of the Fall...

Hmm, two places compete (at the moment): The forest at my parents' and Ben Nevis (mountain of Scotland) :)

Ack! Too many places! :P I love Madison, aka The MadCity, because it is eclectic and full of life. I also fell in love with San Francisco and Helsinki for much the same reasons. The most beautiful places were in Glacier Park, Montana, and Lake Moraine, Lake Louise, and Banff in Alberta, Canada. The quietest (katydids notwithstanding) was in the Ozarks in Arkansas. I could keep going, but I think I'll stop now.

To the North. I am definitely the greatest winter lover, so the dreamplace for me would be somewhere where there's a lot of shining snow and bright blue sky.

on my right two meters away - my bed.

Ok serious now. I don't travel much so I really don't have a certain favorite place somewhere far away. I'd love to visit Australia and New Zealand, maybe Iceland and Scotland too. In summertime I love to spend time reading and just being by the nearby lake which is like less than 1km away.. But I'd imagine my favorite dream place being at a summer cabin (which I sadly don't own) by a lake in the middle of nowhere on a quiet summer evening (with absolutely NO bugs etc annoying blood suckers that like to stalk you just for fun), just sitting on the dock enjoying the silence and watching the sun set and maybe reading a good book and having something cool to drink. The Finnish dream I'd say..

There are many...

I loved England, The Netherlands and France when I went to visit. I loved the flashing lights of Vegas, Nevada and the thrill of California when I went. Colorado was beautiful.

But there is nothing like my home. With the whispering trees, the northern lights, the color-rich sunsets, and the fact that I'm far enough from town to see the stars in the sky. Now that it's spring I spend my mornings whistling along with the songbirds and watch the wildlife cross over the land. There used to be a creek that ran through, and when I was younger I'd catch frogs and stuff. There is a whole world at my grasp, and I've lived here for years and I still haven't discovered everything it has to offer. And whenever I feel like it, I get to go hang out with my horses who love me for everything I am.

Nope. There is just no place like home.

As far as I'm concerned, Nantes and Cardiff are the best cities in the world.
Guess what? They're officially twinned. 8)

I have no such thing as a real hometown, as in "a place where I grew up and come back to when I visit my parents". As a child, and then as a teen, my family would move across France every few years, so I have memories scattered all over the country. Then, as a student, I moved a lot, too, only on my own.
So I have a home. A house I bought a year and a half ago, fifteen kilometres southwest of Paris. But if my situation changed and I had to move to another place, it would be no big deal to me. The roots haven't sunk in yet.

I still feel a little something when I go to Reunion Island, where I spent four years of my life. I think I left a bit of my heart there. But I couldn't live there anymore, not for long. The island is too small, too far from what matters to me now.

So Nantes, yes. Nantes and Cardiff. These are places where I feel almost complete.

Wherever my family is, my friends are, and when I listen to Poets, and where I can "feel alone", one-to-one with myself, calm and sincere.
