I have a lot of favourite sayings...I have a notebook filled with pearls of wisdom :) But the saying which I overuse(my friends are already used with it :P ) is "Everything happens for a reason". [/b]. I use this saying so much because life has given me many opportunities to see that everything happens for a reason...and I'm sure that you noticed this too. :)

I can see that!

My favourite saying is: "What can not kill me can not hurt me"
And ofcourse: "Fair is foul and foul is Fair" MacBeth readers should know what it means :P

My signature is probably my favorite quote.

My favorite saying is one I revised
'Seeing is deceiving'

"Read the directions and directly you will be directed in the right direction". The doorknob from Alice in Wonderland. (The book)

It may sound mundane at first sight, but I think it's much more meaningful than what it may seem.

Amazing Show and quote as well.

My personal quote is "Never look down on anybody unless you're helping him up."

Well first of all I'd like to say this is probably one of my favorite types of threads. I just love reading different saying/ quotes.

Here are third of my favorites,

First,

Those who have come here to hate should
leave now, for in their hatred they only
betray themselves.
- Translated from The Book of Life
(A fictional book from the 10th book of the
Sword of Truth Series [Phantom])
Series written by Terry Goodkind

Second,

There is a thin line between genius and insanity
- Oscar Levent

Third,

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
- Not sure who said it if anyone knows
please tell me.

Liked that :)

 I was thinking something pessimistic like "today sucks and tomorrow is worse"
or "everything that can go wrong goes wrong"

This is one I wrote, but I suppose it holds significance:
"Any human can obtain wisdom and power, but they are useless without courage."

Lately, my favorite phrase has been: "Breakfast?! You're having the FUSION TECHNIQUE for BREAKFAST!" said by Piccolo, the guy in my icon.

"You can get used everything else except an icicle in your butthole because it melts away."

And a bit similar one...

"You can get used to everything, even to a knife sticking from your back if you lie on your stomach."

But I guess my most favorite one is from that movie (whose name I can't recall right now):
"Sometimes the only way to keep yourself sane is to become insane."
It's just so true.

The world is a beautiful place
to be born into
if you don't mind happiness
not always being
so very much fun
if you don't mind a touch of hell
now and then
just when everything is fine
because even in heaven
they don't sing
all the time

I love this one from Victor Hugo:

My favorite sayings (or quotes) atm, they fit perfectly in my current situation:

"I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by." (Douglas Adams)

"Ei tule lasta eikä paskaa" ("Not producing baby nor shit")
Means: you've been trying to do something really hard and making little to no progress, like taking one step forward and two steps back.
I've been saying that a lot lately.. >_>

Also, I like the one in my signature..

I don't use these phrases myself, but here's my favorite quotes of the new hero of mine  :

"My name is Sherlock Holmes. It is my business to know what other people don't know."
"It's quite a three pipe problem and I beg that you won't speak to me for fifty minutes."
"There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact."
"I never make exceptions. An exception disproves the rule."
"You see, but you do not observe."
"Mrs. Hudson, you're dreadfully underfoot."
"It is a hobby of mine to have an exact knowledge of London."
"A man with so large a head must have something in it!"
