I was so proud of myself after persuading a friend of mine to come jumping with me in the first row on a POTF gig (she might still change her mind, though, the gig is in July) (although I doubt it, she said she's been hooked by Marko's voice) (and even if she did change her mind, she'd change it back, I'd make sure of that). But so far she's the only one I've managed to convert...
But I agree, all POTF fans are intelligent, friendly and great people. :P

If POTF has a flaw it's that they're sound is so complex that it goes right over your head the first time you hear it. Maybe the second time too. The third time will be unforgettable. By the forth time, you're humming it to yourself and marveling "Wow, how did they DO that??"

I don't expect everyone to like it at first listen, especially if they're not paying attention. But once you give it the attention it deserves, if you're not sucked right in, you're just plain stupid.

I don't all agree with that. With many of the people I know it was precisely their first listen that got them into the band (although one or two enjoyed them the more they got of them), including myself.

Can't forget the first time I heard Lift... oh my.

Well, maybe I'm just one of the intellectual ones

There are a lot of nice people here. People that don't make you feel stupid for posting a thought or comment. And though I don't spend a lot of time posting (I do more reading than anything), I've always seen the nicest of people.

So yay, I wanna join the grouphug!

Good plan. He's an idiot for equating "different" with "worse." Fix him so those stupid genes are never passed on to the next generation of innocents.

Or just ask again after he's had a chance to listen to it a few more times and then ask if he's maybe changed his mind.

Ooo so evil..

but i love it 8)

There are many people who say to me- "who are you listening to.
And i reply - Poets of The Fall
They are like - "Never heard of them"

and i prefer that so much more because then not everyone knows them and they are not so popular, they are like a hidden band and i love it that way..
