Hi folks!

I'm asking for your help if you are willing to make a trade or receive some goodies from Finland.

I'm collecting euro coins and my collection is missing some coins. If you have some of these coins, please contact me by private message. I can buy them or I can send you something from Finland that can be fitted to an envelope (salmiakki for example).

I'm missing these coins:

Luxembourg: 5 cent, 10 cent, 1 euro
The Netherlands: 1 cent, 50 cent
Austria: 1 cent
Malta: 1 cent, 5 cent, 20 cent, 2 euro
Cyprus: 2 cent, 10 cent, 50 cent, 1 euro
Slovenia: 1 cent, 2 cent, 10 cent, 20 cent
San Marino: all euro coins (very rare)
Monaco: all euro coins (very rare)
Vatican city: all euro coins (very rare)

Pictures of euro coins for each country can be found here:
http://www.ecb.europa.eu/bc/euro/coins/ ... ex.en.html

SPECIAL REQUEST:
Each member state can issue a special €2 coin once a year. What makes them different from other €2 coins is their design on the national side. These coins are in normal circulation so you can find one from your wallet/pocket/wherever you keep you money.
I have some German 2 euro coins (Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Romische Vertrage), one from Greece (Athens Olympics 2004) and all the Finnish 2 euro coins.

Last year every member state issued a coin about the treaty of Rome. It looks something like this (this is the Finnish version):

Image

The coin has the same picture but it has been printed with everyone's national language. I'm VERY interested in these coins from your home countries so keep your eyes open.

Germany, Luxembourg, Portugal, Belgium, Italy, Greece and Austria have some other special coins in circulation. Pictures by year of issuance here:
http://www.ecb.europa.eu/bc/euro/coins/ ... ex.en.html

Lol, how can you not the French / Dutch 10 cent and be a 'collector'? o_O

Anyways I have some of the European commemorative coins, but I'll wait til the real Europeans answer to this thread because they've been close to a much larger circulation :P

I started to collect pounds and I just happen to miss those that you have in your wallet. You can put them to my bank account. :|

If I had extra money for travelling, I would have gone to get them, would I?

You just crashed my career as a pro collector.

You don't have to travel around to get them... There's a whole lot of those coins going around here in Finland alone. Or say at least in Helsinki.

It would probably be much easier if I lived in Helsinki. Where I live we see about 3 tourists a year. They all come here by accident and continue their journey before spending any money.
However, I have collected all the coins by checking my own, my boyfriends or my moms purse so it's true that some of the coins end up in this little town too.

I'm not keeping my hopes up for these coins. So far I have 0 answers. :|

BTW, does anyone else collect coins or am I the only geek here?

I would really appreciate it if you could only keep your eyes open for them. There were 30 millions coins put out in Germany this year representing Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Last year it was Schleswig-Holstein

Acid trips don't count. Poland isn't part of the EMU. :teach: I do believe you did get it, tho. They prolly accept euros in certain places or somethin'. I just wanted to say that.

Have you found all the coins you've been looking for? What about Malta and Cyprus?

Nope. Haven't been lucky so far. I don't have coins from Malta or Cyprus either. :(

But I did get the Italian coins though, big thanks to Vaughn. :)

Good luck with the coins, Angie. Hope you'll find some on your pilgrim trip.

Hey, I just got one of the Germany special coins - it is from 2008 and has Hamburg on it. I can save that for you if you like. :)
