The poets haven't changed my taste in music, per say. But they've evolved a "local" musical taste in me. By that, I mean that I find myself listening to songs by the same artists I've been listening to, but the songs have a more mellow tune. I still listen to all my favorite bands, but when I'm in certain moods I turn on Poets-esque music more often than other things.

If that made ANY sense. =P

Ditto.

There was a time many years ago when all I listened to was Metallica or something in that style. My taste in music just seems to expand the older I get. Now I like quite many styles varying from jazz to metal.

I think no one on this forum changed his music-style... if someone listens to HH he won't like POTF...

Yes, ever since the credits to Max Payne 2 rolled, I've been listening to bands like Poets of the Fall, Creed, Cold etc... All have a similar *style* of music.

I enjoy it.

If there were bands similar to Poets, then yeah, Poets would have changed my taste in music in a way, cause I'd be listening to that sort of thing much more than other music. Anyway, I can't really name any similar band to Poets, therefore I'm still listening to the same music I used to listen before I discovered them (80's rock, goth rock, modern rock, heavy metal etc).

Not really: like SarahLou said, there just aren't other bands that have the same style as potf.

Maybe in a more indirect way: first of all because following them I came to know other bands I like.
And then because I think potf have affcted my life so much.. that they might have made some changes in my music taste too, though I couldn't point out how exactly :)

Well i can't say it has changed my taste in music but i can definatly say that they made me look towards music in a deeper and profound way, they made me aprecciate music more deeply and I am trully grateful for that. I owe that to POTF thank you very much.

Not really, I guess. I've always had quite wide taste of music (and yet, very limited). My Mom said she was surprised to hear I liked PotF, though. Dunno why. *laugh*

Interesting question. No. I like so many different kinds of music so it couldn't possibly change my taste.
I am really glad that someone told me about POTF! It just adds to my joy of music and provides me with more music to love!
I do find that POTF have some of the best lyrics I have heard, thanks to Marko!

In some way - yes, they did change my taste in music, on the other hand - no, they did not. It's complicated to answer by using simple "yes" or "no".
Well, for long time I tried to clean my music library - get rid of everything old, stupid and naive which I don't listen any more. I had more than 12 GB of music at the beginning! After few months of listening and cleaning I ended at 8 GB - still so much :(.
And just yesterday, I gave up and threw out almost 6 GB. I didn't even listen or tried to choose which songs are still good and which of them are just junk. I've realised that I need to start fresh with clean and (almost) empty music folder.
Now, I'm looking forward to finding new songs and bands  . And I'm not sorry for all that music I've lost on purpose - if it's good music, it will come back somehow :)... I'm sure of it.
So, final answer for the question above would probably be YES, POTF changed my taste in music :).

Nice day to everyone and thanks for listening/reading :).

It didn´t change my taste in music, but I discover some more finnish bands that I like. But I knew other bands from Finland before the Poets, but the Poets make me now travelling to that country more often :)

They changed something for me.
I mean, before, I listened only Slipknot, Korn, System of a Down, Metallica. And off course, a lot of others bands like 36Crazyfist, Kagerou, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, Coalchamber..
And one day, I finished Max Payne 2 and discovered Late Goodbye... And god damn, good music can exists without screaming! It changed all, of course, I still love listening Slipknot and so on but less often than before.

But in a way, I still a rock/metal fan, it didn't change that, I can't staind rap, clubbing, pop, korean and all that f*cking sh*t f*cking invading internet and tv!

I like these bands, too! Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, Stone Sour... but I think the Poets fit in there... but the Poets are the band I listen more often than anything else...
