Has anyone else watched Trigun because he kinda reminds me of the main character Vash at least in some ways.
Yup, that's what I've been preaching in the comments of the few preview articles of the new album that were linked on POTF twitter.
Mainly people clicked on the name Jeremiah and thought of it being something biblical, but my mind, my temple of thought clicked on the the word Peacekeeper. We all have our own favorite peacekeeper, I think. Mine is Vash The Stampede from anime/manga/movie
Trigun. When Poets announced the name of track 10 on twitter, I thought of Vash, but when I read the preview article
http://passioncolorseverything.com/blog/?p=1384I was sure it's about Vash The Stampede

For me who is a great fan of Poets and Trigun, this works for me and I'm so happy.
I'll try to explain some points, 1st four are selfexplanatory, without spoilers i hope.
A watcher over the world and its people: Due to circumstances of how the people got on the deserted planet, he feels responsible for all the people on the planet, and he has the time to do so, believe me.
He keeps them safe and at peace, suffering in their place if need be:His moto that he lives by is Love&Peace, metioned in the song, he fights with his gun, not to hurt, but to save peoples lives, and in the process wants everyone to live, give even the criminals another chance on life, as a consequence of this choice (or way of life) back from childhood, his body is now full of scars
To live through all that he needs love and acceptance from the people he is protecting:He is not a famous star, in fact his kinda infamous, but only cause his reputation is overblown. The effort he puts in his actions is all worth it cause there are people who know him deeply and love him and accept him for who he is.
He has magical- or superpowers to make reality bend to his will: He looks human, but there's something different in him. It has someting to do with new form of plants that humans have created to make electricity, water, fertile ground, etc. He is fast, skilled with gun, kind of a ubermench, think of Wesker in coat from RE5, but a good guy with a heart. Has an inherit devastating superpower and does not like that it has it.
Jeremiah could well be interpreted as some god, but even with all his powers he seems too human and vulnerable for that:Vash is kind of god-like, made a hole in the moon, but I've already said about some of his skillset. He could play god he wanted to but that is not his agenda, in fact his motives are more human, and because of scars he feel vulnerable. It's the main villain who wants to play god.
p.s. lyrics
He sees an eternity in a blink of an eye What to say here and not spoil it?
And for him this life is made of time and choices He has all the time he needs to fill it with choices to help, save, roll anothers man dice, all in favour of saving and leaving everyone alive.
So he fights without a sixgun on his side At some times he does not have it, but his primary tool of justice is a gun with which he deals his Jesus-like alegory with six bullets. Also, the name Trigun hints at somethings else

In the end there's the fourth one.
So for me it works, but a combination of a POTF & Trigun fan is rare I think, and I am so grateful I know of these two, cause they are the best, No.1 to me in their categories. Those are my two cents. I wish we could one day find out what was Marko's reasons and foundations to write this song. They could be different. I..., I'm not struggling to pinpoint this song, to me it's perfectly clear. It works somehow.
