I'd probably just open my jaw as wide as it would go, utter a small squeaking noise, then run away.

I would say: "Please, dear Marko, sing me something 'Sweet' just for me!" 8)

I come to his door and yel: "Knock knock, hello, anybody home? I'm coming in. With a touch of foreboding!"

And when he opens the door I say: "Don't, don't, don't mess with me."

Then I will hypnotize him by saying: "Sleep, sugar, let your dreams flood in, like waves of sweet fire, you're safe within." to force him to reveal all of Poets' secret plans.

I will tie him on a chair and when he wakes up, I'll leave saying: "Maybe Tomorrow is a Better Day!"

Then i will start regretting my actions: "Why do we sacrifice the beautiful ones?"

So I release him and say: "Well excuse me... When love alone is enough to set you free."

@VesQ That one with ''maybe tomorrow is a better day'' was really funny.

In what concerns myself, I will probably faint when I see him and after waking up I'll faint again. Or I will stare at him but definitely I'm going to tell him 'thank you for existing'

VesQ, that's so hilarious. It's almost like my interpretation of 3AM chorus. Even though it's offtopic, I'm going to put it here.

3 AM we seemed alright, couldn't be better
It was such a great night out bar hopping!
On our way into the light
The light summer nights are so beautiful but I can't wait to get to bed.
Now 3 AM is gone, along with when there's nothing wrong
Why the h*ll did you have to puke in the bed?
3 AM it seemed alright
Well it sure isn't alright anymore! Where am I going to sleep now?

And back to the topic. I haven't met the guys yet, and I don't really know what to say to them, I think at least a few compliments. I'd need to think about it beforehand, I think I need a script cos otherwise I'm just going to be starstruck and speechless. And that would make me a boring fan to talk to =D

"Thank you"? Meaning, for everything? Eww, I don't know. Would be too shy to be like "I'M YER BIGGEST FAN" or something equally silly, but too eager to say at least anything either <D

I'm pretty sure it will dwarf the time when I bumped into Matt Bellamy and told him my name is also Matt Bellamy :P

I have met Marko once after a gig and what I first said to him was "Hey Marko, can I get your autograph?"
Before that I wasn't really thinking what I would say to Marko when meeting him first time.

I was blessed to meet Marko, Olli, Captain and Jaska all at once. If I recall correctly, I think I said, "Hi! I come bearing gifts!"

And here's one of them. :P

Another option:

What is the difference between a thirsty man, the candyman and the medicine man?

or Can the fool's majesty be also King of Fools?

or just Can You Hear Me? :|

Does Marko have a cheese in his head?!

But that reminds me of the time I started a conversation with him asking what's in his head. It was a wet towel if you want to know.

The next time I saw him I shouted:"Marko! Overboard!" hoping he would sing it. His response? "BUT I DON'T KNOW THE WORDS!"

"Hi Marko, I'm Marta. Thank you for your awesome gig and for your great work. This means a lot for me"

(probably I would say it for any of the guys)

LOL!

And yes, that is the infamous Cheesehead hat, because I happen to be from Wisconsin, USA which was long ago nicknamed Dairyland. Originally, in our many sports rivalries (mostly football) people from other states used the term Cheesehead as an insult, but now we consider it a badge of honor and wear it with pride...quite literally. :| :P

Haha, knowing me, I'd not even realize it was him.
I've met so many people without realizing then 3 hours later gone, "Wait, wasn't that so and so..."

Although I think some of the above comments are genius!

I'd probably say...

Um, if you're not too busy at the moment, would you like to sing Late Goodbye with me? Yes, right now. No, I'm quite normal... mostly. :)

Hey, it's almost the same thing for me. If I'm not purposefully looking out for someone (friend or idol alike) I tend to go through life in a strange kind of a haze where I don't really pay attention to surrounding people so much. So, mostly people who I know spot me (I don't spot them) and say "hi", and I probably look totally dumbfounded every time. I guess the only good thing about this quirk is that I don't know what I missed later on... :P

Sorry for the offtopic (am I turning into a German spammer? Alpha, this is your bad influence, I'm sure of it) but it's fun to find people with similar... tendecies.

Edit:

amok wrote:

If I had to try and say that, I'd probably get tongue tied somewhere in the middle and it would turn into something very strange... probably at the word "acquaintance".
"Acq, ack, öhq, öäää, nevermind..." Difficult words have this affect on me when I'm nervous :D
