Olli's father does not appear in this video.

The disappearing cop in the video looks like one of the actors in Lift video. And since we know Olli's father appears there, I assumed it was him. Sorry for the misleading.

Ok, so. I really enjoyed the video, it had this cinematic feel to it that made it dreamy and exciting.

I had fun trying to find the other Poets among the cast..... At least I was until the clown appeared. :( . The creepy thing made me jump out of my own freaking skin!!

Anyway, I kept watching after I skipped the clown part and regained my composure. My opinion? I love it! Even with all the Alan Wake implications, the video still has POTF's trademark print all over it, I can even find some sense in the bloody clown!! Don't take me the wrong way, I love the old videos, but I welcome change, as long as it doesn't huge leap from all normalcy. :P

Haha yes I was thinking that too. The location of the video actually reminds me a lot of my old town, which is hauntingly frightening in more ways than you can imagine. I mean, what would you do if you saw a clown outside your bedroom window?

Well, I used to live in a very rural area and we had our own fox hunting team. Can you imagine that? I used to wake up every Wednesday morning to horses cantering down the road and foxhounds waking up the whole neighborhood.

I'd rather have a whole wolfpack near my (open) bedroom window than a creepy clown. :(

But that does sound pretty annoying. Did you move away from there? :P

Word. Wolves are shy: they're not gonna bother you. Whereas if films and TV have taught me anything, it's that a clown showing up at your house can ONLY want to knaw on your bones.

I know it LOOKS like it was filmed in Washington state, but it was probably Finland. Just, ya know, because Finland has woods and small towns in the woods too.

And about this... I agree.

A large proportion of Finland is woods. I don't think the band would spend good money flying to the US, if they have a perfectly fitting scenery right around the corner.

Has anyone else noticed that the "War" thumbnail pic on the main page keeps changing?

Well I'm 100% sure it is filmed in Finland. And I also noticed mountain/fell in the video. My guess goes to eastern Finland, somewhere near Kuopio?

Loving the video :) As I am currently totally obsessed with Alan Wake, the theme is perfect for me. The clicker was a nice touch, as well as the manuscript pages. The little I could make out of it, they seemed to consist of the excerpts from the game's pages. The Taken, the woman with the veil, the flare, all of them such great details from the game.

At first I also craved a bit more action, but on second thought this is much more fitting. The video has the feel of the Bright Falls prequel, it is more about the creepy atmosphere and weird images than epic battles. I imagine that the guys had a wonderful time filming it, I wish I had been there too =)

The teaser was a clever move from Remedy, since lot of the game blogs noticed it. Great publicity for the band!

As for the location, I suspect Espoo, Nuuksio National Park. I have been there a couple of times larping and it is a stunning place, perfect for Alan Wake.

Ps. As I'm in the mood, Late Goodbye video looks like Alan-Wake-esque as well =P

Want to see a new clip directed by Stobe.

I don’t say that War video disappoints me, but something lacks... Something that gave me a reason to watch the Carnival of Rust video for hundred times.

Sir, you'll have to decide what you prefer: PotF's music or Stobe's video

I hope some day Poets of the Fall will be enough rich to pay stunning money for the stunning effects and the stunning directors.

Also I hope that Poets of the Fall will continue making great music, not only lying at the Cyprus and drinking tequila with millions on their bank accounts. :P

amen to that. Like the Admin said, most of these videos the guys pay for out of their own pocket. So, even if it's not what we expect, we still need to be grateful to the Poets for doing what they do and for continuing to make their videos. Even if our hopes are high, we need to take what they give us and appreciate them for the artists that they are.

I'm so grateful that I said 'hi' to the Taken with a saw yeatsrday, playing AW. Hi, Jaska, how r u? Ok, nomore kidding. I know that everything our guys make is made with love. So as for me personally, I don't care if it's Stobe or Vasya Pupkin. The Poets are enough themselves. And once more I'd like to thank'em for the video... I'm in love 8)

Yesterday, the War-video made POTF rank at number 35 of all Youtube-channels about music. :D

I want to tell that i don't like this video at all :( . I think that it was bad idea to make video on a game's story, cos it's quiet difficult to understand the plot of the video when you don't know the plot of the game and it's look like a big-big-trailer for the game, but not like a music video. I understand that "WAR" it's OST for the game, and some people will play this game after video.(may be), but there are many people who won't do that. As for me (and not only for me there are many same opinions as mine) the song is much better than the video.

Completely agreed. Not playing the game really takes away a lot of the meaning of the video, because you have no clue what it's referencing.
