To cut it short...one of the most important people in my life who is responsible for about half of my personality died yesterday.
I'm talking about my grandmother.
I'm not thanking because your music takes away grief but because it makes me remember all the fun times i had with her, all the good and bad memories, how she used to tell her stories how she taught me history better than any school, how to be kind and care about others, how to help someone in need, how to enjoy every bit of the beauty you can find around you even if you can't see it (she was blind)...for all of this i thank her...
"thank you for everything you did for me...I'm sorry i couldn't do anything for you...more than you know"

Now my biggest regret ever is that I, listened to my family that told me not to go, and instead i went to a party got into a fight and went home drunk and slept it off...I'm such an asshole!

And thank you poets for those lyrics and songs that make me remember who i really am and who made me into what I am...thank you for helping me remember that someone special

So touching how you loved your grand mother... I'm sure somewhere she must be very proud of you, she was such a good person, as you are yourself. I wish you all the best ever! :)

Your grandmother was very smart and wise so maybe the best way to remember her is simply to do what she told you to: be kind to others, help someone in need, and enjoy very bit of beauty you can find. Beauty is not only seen, it can be heard, as you know by being a POTF fan :) . Maybe you are doing what she wanted you to do right now.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I too had a wonderful grandmother who would take me to the hairdresser with her when I was 11 and for tea with "the ladies" and introduce me to everyone she knew everywhere we went.

I miss her a lot and think of her when there is something going wrong in my life or I feel bad and somehow those memories make me feel better.
