I've thought about that, and after thinking hard and trying to be a bit realistic (that is, not putting all songs they've made on the list which would of course be ideal:P), I ended up on the following list. I've thought about the sequence as well.

1. The Ultimate Fling. The perfect opener to make the audience awake and aware that the Poets have arrived :D
2. Illusion & Dream
3. Everything Fades
4. Locking Up The Sun
5. Delicious
6. Shallow
7. Late Goodbye
8. Diamonds For Tears
9. Passion Colours Everything
10. Someone Special
11. The Beautiful Ones

12. Psychosis. The hardest song I could think of, it would be great live, and it would be the perfect preceeder for:
13. Carnival of Rust. After such an hard song, Carnival of Rust will be perfect. It's a beautiful song by it's own already, and I can't even imagine how beautiful it will be after a climax like this.

---- I guess it will be very beautiful, so the audience will be left alone for some minutes, screaming "encore!" Then two more songs will come:

14. Dreaming Wide Awake. Of course, it's the new single!
15. Sleep/ Where Do We Draw The Line. Sleep because it's suits perfectly after Dreaming Wide Awake, and WDWDTL because it would be simply amazing to end the gig with, because it's such a peaceful song, and it will let the audience go home with a really good feeling.

And for the rest I tried to mix the rock songs and the ballads. Some songs just belong to eachother like D4T and Passion Colours Everything or The Beautiful Ones and Someone Special. I haven't included songs from Twilight Theatre yet, cause I don't know them yet :P Luckily, because then it would be even harder making such a setlist!

I have never seen the Poets live yet unfortunately, so is 15 songs a bit realistic for their gigs? And does their real setlist come any close to this one? That would be great.
But what would your ideal setlist be like?

It's better to desist from opinion, since we haven't heard any of TT songs and I'm sure there will be lots of good songs there. Just wait couple of weeks more and then speak :)

Who said no more than ten are allowed? My ideal gig would be a lot longer than that

My ideal set hmmm....Well it certainly has to be:

Support band at start Phoenix Effect. You would close this with Marko singing the last song by phoenix effect.

Then onto POTF:

You need to warm crowed up so what is better than the new song:

Given and Denied

follow this by

Locking up the sun

I then need to demand the....

beautiful ones

Don't mess with me would be the next choice

Then illusion and dream

More

Dreaming Wide awake

Your still here

Make people think you are closing by playing the classic Carnival of Rust and for the fun of it bring phoenix effect into it.

I then believe one of the rare Marko recordings ie tobacco road should be sung.

15 minute Flame

And close with some power yes for me it would have to be
.
.
.
.
.
revolution roulette

For the en core

Passion colours everything

Maybe tomorrow is a better day

And then just to show we are closing 3AM soft peaceful gentle. And that should lead elsewhere.

I bet Dying To Live will be a huge song to hear live: the chorus just calls for an audience to clap along

I don't think I'm that good at building a setlist myself, I don't think it would make a good one to just put all my favourites in it. It has to have a balance with the rockier and softer songs and maybe even technical things that I'm not aware of have to be taken into concideration.

But there's one song I'd love to see played live and that is 15 Min Flame. The reason for this ofc is the overlapping lyrics: someone else (I'm guessing Jaska) will have to help Marko out and I'd love to hear it. Or then the lyrics probably need to be adapted to not overlap and to have a place where to inhale =D

First of all, I would love love love to hear an acoustic gig. I would be willing to pay quite a lot just for that.

Anyways, this is something I came up with for a "normal" gig:

1. Fire (perfect starter for a gig)
2. Roses (haven't heard it yet and I'm kinda bitter about it..)
3. You're still here
4. Given and Denied
5. Change
6. War
7. Maybe tomorrow is a better day
8. You know my name
9. The Ultimate Fling (The Impromptu Alternate version)
10. Miss Impossible
11. Psychosis
12. Where do we draw the line
13. The Beautiful Ones

Encore:

14. Lift (maybe even the Dramadance Remix :D )
15. All the Way / 4U

Hmmmm....How much would a private gig cost? If someone is interested to hear this same setlist, just pm me and let's start collecting money for a private gig. Or rob a bank or something... :P

Perhaps something like this...

1. Fire
2. 3AM
3. Dreaming Wide Awake
5. War
6. Given and Denied
7. Illusion and Dream
8. Rewind
9. Overboard
10. Roses
11. Heal My Wounds

Interlude...
Then:

12. A cover of something! I'd love to hear Poets do a song by another artist in their own style! When I saw Coldplay they sung Billie Jean by Michael Jackson as he'd just died, and it was great - I'm sure Poets could do better :P
13. An acoustic version of one of the Twilight Theatre songs, similar to this - http://potfmedia.com/video/war-unplugged -
14. Lift
15. Carnival of Rust
16. Late Goodbye, or even better, Late Goodbye with elements of the Piano version included :D

Finally, Sleep :)

What can I say, it's a long concert :D But its POTF, who would complain? :D

Ooook..first of all : sorry for my bad English and also for bad technical terms(..in fact there isn't any...).

This is MY "TWILIGHT THEATRE TOUR" LIST :

1 War (TT)

2 15 Min Flame (TT)

3 Dreaming Wide Awake (TT)

4 More (RR)

5 Don't Mess With Me (SoL)

6 Delicious (CoR)

7 Dawn (CoR)

8 Someone Special (SoL)

9 Clevermind (RR)

10 Lift (SoL)

11 Psychosis (RR)

12 Miss Impossible (RR)

13 Dying to Live (TT)

14 Smoke and Mirrors (TT)

15 Given and Denied (TT)

16 Carnival of Rust (CoR)

17Maybe Tomorrow Is Another Day (CoR)

(18 The Beautiful Ones)

As opening song I chose "War", last singol of the album that gives name to the Tour, with a pretty quiet rhythm, perfect to start and to create a right atmosphere! Continuing with two other songs of "Twilight Theatre" with sustained rhythm, to proceed with "More" and "Don't Mess..." : rocking songs!
Now Marko's voice is ready to hold(?) a great test with "Dawn", beautiful..I don't know and didn't find the english word for "lento"..(maybe "soft song"?)sorry! And to continue with another beautiful "lento", "Someone Special", as much sensational as "Dawn" (about the voice)! With "Clevermind" and "Lift" the rhythm gradually rises again till "Psychosis" and "Miss Impossible" (both inevitable in a gig!); keeping a good rhythm, again "TT" with "Dying To Live" and "Smoke And Mirrors", decrising with "Given And Denied".
It's the end of the gig and they still didn't sing "Carnival of Rust"??? It's impossible!!!...SURPRISE!!!! Here's "CoR"! At last, as ending song nothing is better than "Maybe Tomorrow Is Another Day"!!!
Obviously being the "Twilight Theatre Tour" there're six songs of this album : three at the begining and three at the end...

I know, I know : too much long list! I tried to eliminate some other song, but really I can't do that!!!

There're seventeen songs at all...SUPERSTITIOUSES???...Ok, in this case I add "The Beautiful One" as last song!
