I think me and Alev did a pretty good job trying to convert a Californian girl a few days back, at least she said we were the most devoted fans of any band she'd ever met. I'm determined to take that as a compliment :D We gave her some flyer from the Turkish street team so she could find the main site and so on. And showed some piccys. And CD's.

And ranted. Slightly :|

Well, I guess I never really 'salvated' anyone.. But since my little sister Noam was born in 2005, me and my brothers (the guys luckily have a great music taste) refused playing 'sucky' music anywhere near her; so ... We crated a monster.

She's 4 years old and she knows what she likes. She constantly asks me to play "Don't mess with me" .. She babbles her way through the song, until she reaches the chorus, and starts yelling DON'T, DON'T, DON'T MESS WITH ME through the windows  . She LOVES "Poffs of the foll" and she's convinced that 'Miss Impossible' is her song.

She has a stuffed animal that can play full songs when she presses the buttons with different colours, so we put 'lullabies' into it. 'Sleep' is one of her favourites. She's the cutest kid I've ever seen, I swear.

Ok, I'll stop my proud big sister rambling, now.

Then you were definitely more skilful (or lucky?) than I was, trying to salvate my sister

I don't think it's about skills.. I think it's about a baby girl having a brain and personnality VERY easy to manipulate  .. Hahahahahaha. But keep trying, you can play the albums to your sister while she's sleeping. Subliminal message  .

And yes, she's the cutest girl ever!I'll post a picture of her sometime.. And my brothers.. Well, they're awesome xD.

Awww, maybe she's just receptive to good stuff then ;)

Didn't exactly salvate anyone lately, but I did find some forgotten POTF stickers in my handbag today :o I'll keep them close and spam the streets 8)

Today I had an incident I'd describe as an "unintentional anti-salvation."

In front of my working place, there's a big parking lot. Today I arrived like twenty minutes too early and was listening to Mrs. Impossible repeatedly to kill time.

Next to me, there were a few guys and a girl who seemed to be mechanics and suddenly the girl and one guy walked up to the door of my car, the girls smiled stupidly and the guy asked me if I didn't have any other songs on my CD and if I had a screw loose for listening to the same song the whole time. I got out of the car and told him kindly to chill out, turned my radio off, grabbed my backpack and left for work. I was afraid the guy would start to damage my ride if I pissed him off (didn't seem to be the sharpest tool in the box).

I think from now on I'll always park my car second row like most people do so I can avoid undesired moronic interference with my musical taste.

I just converted my pop loving / anti rock cousin to a POTF lover! :o . But only time will tell, I think she has a multiple personality disorder xD.

By the way, here's the youngest die hard fan of the band (that I know of).

Found Locking Up The Sun as one of the tracks on a mixed CD my close friend had made. Impressed with me! And with him

Alright, time for a little update about my actions:

At first I was infecting two people at my work with the music of POTF. One woman is listening to them all the time in her car now and one other dude was expressing his feelings in saying: "Krasser Scheiß!", meaning "Cool shit!".

And just now I was psychosing a special woman from a city in Germany called Dresden who does everything in her power to make all her friends listening to POTF and so far, she had no hard time to succeed. She even made a friend to post something on his website. So proud of her!

...to be continued!

I gave CoR to one of my colleagues. Twivce now he has played the song before our weekly status meeting and last week another colleague wanted to know who that band was.

I am winning them over, one person at a time

Telling our buddies about POTF earns us autographs?

Wow, so it was that easy all along.

Another little story:

Last Saturday a buddy of mine was hosting a house party, and just when I entered the place there was "Revolution Roulette" playing out loud. That was pretty awesome! 8)

I gave one of my new friends at university a list of songs of Poets of the Fall I said he had to listen to, after he had asked about the band I was wearing a hoodie from... :P
Now he's trying to play Someone Special on his guitar and he's going to learn me how to play Roses ^^

I sent a few tracks to one of my Bruce friends in New Jersey. Turns out he liked the music enough to burn a CD for his girlfriend. She in turn, played it for her music-obessed son. He loved it. Three more fans right there :)

Sorry for the double post, but I have a bit of news. I was talking to a cousin of mine the other day and introduced her to POTF. I showed her my D4T cartoon, and she suddenly realized the title was familiar. Apparently, 99.1 WMYX, an independent radio station in Milwaukee has played Diamonds 4 Tears several times! Unfortunately it's far enough away that I can't get the best reception for it and thus have been unable to confirm this or if they've played any others, but it was encouraging. :) I know we have a few other Wisconsinites lurking around in here, so if anyone can help me by confirming this, it would be greatly appreciated.

That's actually amazing!

I don't have any recent salvations, I'm afraid. I need to gather up some good drool first.
Oh wait, no that was salivations.
