It is quite difficult to get the POTF-CDs here in Germany:
- Stores do not sell or order them
- Amazon.de does not sell them
- CDON does not deliver to Germany any more
- Levykauppax sends them as standard letters, so a parcel is uninsured and can easily get lost without replacement (recently happened to me - more than 30,- EUR lost )

So now my question is: Will it be possible to buy the CDs at the concert events in Germany, possibly even signed by the POTFs?

Thanks for the info in advance,
Uli

thats quite normal. in this case POTF are just a support act, so i dont know for sure how theyll handle it here.

incase they wont - www.recordshopx.com thats what the germans recommended me and where i bought my cds some weeks ago. pretty cheap and fast delivery.

Thanks for the quick replies!

Unfortunately this is Levykauppax, who lost my last order without any compensation. Since they are not willing to send "real" parcels, it seems to be only recommendable for Russian Roulette lovers.

Maybe Amazon.de will consider taking them into their portfolio after the gigs...

Well, I bought CoR (the album) in my local record store... took some time till he had it because he ordered it from the netherlands who had to import it as well, but it wasn't much more expensive than any usual CD

Strange... I bought SoL via Amazon and I also saw CoR (the album and the single) there... the album was a bit expensive and would have taken 6-8 weeks to be delivered though

Strange, that the package from Record Shop X didn't make it to you. Did you contact them? I had no problems with them at all...

How soon is soon, by the way? Because I think it's already like two years... I realize that trying to get your CDs to another countries is hard if you don't have a huge company behind your back, but still... Where exactly are we?

Yeah, they have this single, which makes me hoping. Albums are only available through Amazon marketplace though, which is kind of like eBay, not a regular Amazon-sale.
Thanks for the info with the local record store. I tried several in Duesseldorf and Cologne, but was not possible to locate/order any POTF-album there.
The only working and reliable way I found is amazon.co.uk or amazon.fr but this is quite expensive (not that it would not be worth it ).

Anyhow I would be looking forward to find POTF e.g. at Saturn or so. It is really unsatisfying if you recommend them to a friend but then have to struggle against his "come-on-copy-it-for-me"-beggings just because he can not get it in a store or from the internet at a reasonable price...

They told me to wait some more time. - Order and payment was more than 3 weeks ago and they did not respond to my e-mails since about a week.

So what did he mean? Will airplanes drop care-packets with POTF-CDs? Will there be a shop on this website? Will Germany be merged wih Finnland? What? - What?

Let us face it: We love Linux and Nokia here in Germany. Apocalyptica and HIM are great. - But we want POTF. And we want them now!

Hey, calm down. I am indeed a German from Duesseldorf, using Windows and SuSE Linux.
Linus Torvald (creator and inventor from Linux) just is from Finnland, as Nokia is a finish company and all of the mentioned bands are from Finnland. Though lots of Germans (including me) are unhappy that Siemens Mobile went bancrupt, I have to admit that I am currently using a Nokia phone myself (a 9300 that lasts for more than 2 years now).
By the way: Did anybody know that the first SMS-message was sent inside Finnland?
I have to admit that everytime I quit May Payne 2, I listened to the end credits first .
When the first single-CD came out, I ordered 5 pieces at CDON, 3 for friends and 2 for myself. - Just why can't we get these CDs easily here in Germany? Why?

This is SO offtopic but who cares, I'm still gonna comment on it: COOL! I didn't know this, but didn't come as a surprise.

Due to Wikipedia the first SMS and the first WAP-connections worldwide have been made by TeliaSonera (Finish mobile phone privider), but I am not suprised, since the first mobile phone I personally used almost 15 years ago was a Nokia.

But hey, the Germans invented the digital computer (Schickard/Zuse), the USA invented the Internet (with slightly help from the Swiss) and Finnland invented the digital mobile communication, so what? 8)

The guys from Levykauppax / Record Shop X nicely paid the money back for my lost order, which I really appreciate! This is very good service!

I am still hoping there will be a good possibility to easily get the CDs in the future (e.g. through Amazon).

Yay, CoR will be released in Germany in April! Great news! I wonder if it will be released under an indie label or some major label? Great news, anyway, congrats PotF! :)

Thanks, I didn't notice it. Still I'd like to know if "Brainzone / Rough Trade" means airplay for PotF? :)

Anyways, it's a great step for PotF. Congrats!!

No not really but it means that in most cases the music can be orderd without problem in any reccord store, airplay, dunno we should ask sunrise ave how they got airplay! ;)

Three letters - E, M and I. Compared to three _guys_ in POTF's record company.

Yup, that's always the biggest problem. I saw these three letters on iTunes and that was like a revelation "oh, that's how quickly you go to Germany, Poland and so on". The system is stupid.

Maybe there are some radio stations that play indie music in Germany?

It's not indie for very long now :)

EDIT: Ah, got confused in words :D I meant.. they're not so UNDERGROUND after the cd is released.. or something.

Just forget I ever said anything, haha

Hm, ok, but the Poets don't sell the rights of their music to a major-label, is it right or wrong? :? I mean, Sunrise Avenue did and that's a big fat minus for me!!!

Edit: Majors kill good self-made music and they often produces commercialism and shit! That's my opinion. Sorry for that, but I feel free now.^^

It's good that Poets haven't gone to some huge label as they'd have little control over their own music. But it does suck that they can't really get their music out there to the world on the streets yet. One day.
