Quick question; sorry if it's in the wrong forum, I'm new here. P:

So I'm a British fan and as far as I'm aware the Poets have never toured here and they don't seem to be planning to either. :c This is quite possibly a stupid question, but when they're touring in other countries like Germany and Russia do the band speak the native language of whichever country they're visiting to the audience in between songs, or do they speak English regardless of where they are? I plan to see them someday even if I have to travel quite a way but it'd be helpful if I could understand what they were saying. (;

thanks in advance for any responses! <3

Hey MissImp0ssible, welcome to the forum.

It's a funny question, because the band has toured in many many countries already. But you're right, they haven't been to UK yet. Anyway, to answer your question:

They do try to take the local audiences of each country into consideration the best they can. Sometimes it's by saying "hello" or "thank you" in the native language, but they don't speak all of those languages fluently. At gigs outside Finland they mostly speak English, so have no fear, I'm sure you'll understand most of what they say in between songs during a concert. :)

The list of where they've toured is following: Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, United States, Estonia, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, India and Romania.

I didn't know they'd been to America! I plan to go there someday too, maybe that'll be my opportunity. Unfortunately, being 16 and not having a job yet might mean I'll have to wait quite a while. P:

Thanks for the response c:

Well, they only went there once, in 2008, for a showcase gig at MusExpo (California) which is a music and media conference. So, Poets don't tour in USA regularly... I'd say Central Europe would be the closest and probably easiest option for you. :) Finland isn't difficult either, and usually Finland has the largest amount of options when it comes to PotF concerts. But... they mostly speak Finnish here on stage.
