I'm not really good at that and I sometimes really would like to but I think people would say I'm good at taking pictures. :)

Do you remember, there was a brilliant song about revolution and kinda roulette?
So, my old idea of a new drawing is about it somehow...

Well if the talking is important or meaningful it is :D

Since I haven't posted on the Poetry Thread I will get over there soon and post one.

@Extasy

What is the saying? A picture is worth a thousand words? ;)

@apollooo

I am not sure whether it's true about success being linked to being able to talk to people, but it doesn't hurt till one says the wrong thing!

@Lana

Your art has that effect on people! :D

I got a little inspired by Mariamus' Latte Goodbye lyrics and decided to write an Ode To Da Box to the melody of Where Do We Draw The Line.
Thank you MaydayCall and MrFelicks for cheering me on and thanks to Beldrion and Marvin for wanting it to rhyme :)

Where Do We Draw The Box

Under our fingers endless keypad
That makes us type the words without a halt
In our eyes reflected screen chat
Already waits for people to stalk

So why do we keep on coming back
Why do we spend our time with other fans in this friendly shack

What does the chatball want with us
The font doesn't matter at all because
If it ever goes under a lock
Tell me where do we draw the box

The strip pole dancing and woolsock private jabs
Are memories no one else understands
The guests of whom no one ever heard
They always go without saying a word

Come in and join our kin
Before you even know it you're insane and you will fit right in

What does the chatball want with us
The font doesn't matter at all because
If it ever goes under a lock
Tell me where do we draw the box

Where's TheArtist's toolshed
And the monster kitten squad
Where are VesQ's fetishes
Where are the foodfights and the links
It's like we're always there
Because old texts remain bare
Until someone types some more
And we have something new to gawk

What does the chatball want from us
At least I'm here and so is tush
Smiling twisted, having a lol
This is our box

Mother's Day Bonus (to the chorus of More):
Cake, just to be sure
I got the flavor I want so naturally I want cake
Which I paid for, decorate it now
All I want is cake cos I like it
Too good to share it now, let me have it
Cos I want cake, cos I'm not sure
What cake I really wanted, suffice to say I want cake

Well, if you really want to know... I saw that TheArtist had written something about being infamous at the Box a long time before I even got there, and it made me think of 15 Min Flame lyrics. I came up with a short verse about the box to that song that goes like this:

Who was it, who wanted to roll the dice and throw a durian
To smell a fruit that really blows your mind away

monna saw it first and thought it was funny, and later MaydayCall and MrFelicks said the same (at the box, where else). I told them about Latte Goodnight and looked it up for them, and started wondering if I should at least try something. I came up with the first two verses of bridge first, which is why I decided on Where Do We Draw The Line but after that I worked on it from start to finish.

The first version didn't rhyme and Beldrion and Marvin thought it should. So I altered some words and lines. Some things were easy to change, stop became halt for example, and they happen to mean the same thing. At some other places I had to change whole lines to something completely different because I couldn't find a rhyming word to the end that would sound even distantly sensible.

So all in all, the whole thing took about half a day from TheArtist's initial (and unknowing) inspiration to a finished "product" :)

First I thought I have no problem with "pretty fitting", but it kept nagging at me for some reason so I tweaked the lyrics a little. It's edited in the original post cos I don't want to take up space by reposting it. Also, there's a new added Mother's Day Bonus. But I'm not going to write more of these, it might be a bit too much... :P
