| I will just clarify that I'm not saying ToT is a _bad_ album. But I feel it's a bit more _bland_ and poppy, with perhaps too similar sound on each track. And I'd like to see more acoustic stuff and some more real riffs and impact, and less cheesy synths and Coldplay-like guitar sounds. Anyway, I've ... |

| Meaning, schmeaning. With "empty" I don't necessarily mean the lyrics, but my experience of the album. The feeling it generates and leaves you with. But yes, I think many of the lyrics are much more ordinary than on previous albums. ps; fair enough, I was wrong about the release time. It j... |

| Poets is, probably, my all time favorite band and has been so from prior to the release of Carnival of Rust. But this album is quite empty for me. Where is the attitude and funky lyrics, the catchy melodies, the crunchiness, and epic ballads about something else than love? I can't really care about ... |

| Ok... for most people on this forum, the answer to this is obvious. But not so to the world in general. I mean, what is the definition of Good Music today? I have tried to define this while reviewing Twilight Theater here: http://grimescene.wordpress.com/2010/07/19/twilight-theater-poets-of... |

Thinking this isn't completely off topic, I gotta say.
I don't like War. The start and the verse is good, but the melody in the chorus is terribly boring I think, and those string arrangements really sound weird and cheesy. |

| As explained above, I don't think "to do time" as in jail makes any more sense gramatically, and much less in context of the song. I will have to go back to my interpretation above and read it as: -Would you choose; "still more time to do" You choose to put things on hold, becaus... |

| Sigh. Poets lyrics are always in a sense general and not about what one of the band members did last year. And the whole damn song is about nostalgy as you get older, missing all the opportunities you had when you were younger etc. It's a direct reference to childhood . Its absolutely clear. |

Quote: It only has one night to live and somebody catches it, pins it down
It's very symbolic. You also see it in the lift video as some kind of symbol of freedom as it soars to the sky, while he's locked up in jail. Kinda traded places, compared to the logo.
I'm loving the moth. |

OK suggestion, but I doubt it, seeing the sentence in context. I think I'll stick to my interpretation.
But it really frustrates me. Among all these great lyrics is a sentence I don't even gramatically understand. |

| The first pre-chorus is clear as crystal, though. No way to misunderstand that. Combine this wind with the end of the chorus, "no one else can heal your wounds", and I think it's pretty obvious. You have to find your own strength to get past things, you can't rely on or blame others for yo... |

| I'm not crazy about the chorus in War, but the rest of the song is great. Heal my Wounds give me a little Eurovision Song Contest vibe during the chorus. But on the other hand, the pre-chorus makes my hair stand. Damn! I'm most impressed by Given and Denied and You're Still Here. :) Can't stop liste... |

| I hope they do. This song follows a not-all-original recipe, but hey. It's okay. This song has already gotten more radio play outside Finland than anything they have done before, so apparently they did _something_ right with it, like it or not. :) Yes, they did something right. They made a radio-fr... |

| I believe the background at 4 seconds and throughout the intro is synth (and 2:48 etc). I have no problem with synth per se, it takes as much creativity as everything else, and sounds awesome at the right places, as Poets is a good example of. I just think this didn't in particular don't sound very ... |

| Was a bit disappointed about the song. The sound production is poorer than before, and together with the uninspired use of synth I think the song became quite flat, both in structure and sound. I liked the opening, the buildup, the lyrics, but it just doesn't sustain. I miss the crystal clear acoust... |

Pestage;
It didn't come clear out of the Fragile chords you posted, but I think the start goes with E and each beat (is that the english word?) ends with 1/4 Asus2
E---------E--------E-------Asus2
dam-di-dam-di-dam----daradada
Agree? Sorry if I'm stating the obvious |
